image at the same time as shès processing sound. Bhima Swarga is a piece
derived from traditional paintings on the ceiling of Kertha Gosa in Bali,
the story of a journey through hell to heaven. The rich iconographic characters
will be processed and controlled by the sound signal and other messages

lopsided grooves will use appropriated material restored and reconstituted
from their personal audio archives alongside new materials and technologies.

Jarryd Lowder
BIRD-OF-PREY
by Jarryd Lowder, 2004
What do a falcon, a Native American leader of the 19th century and a Military
helicopter have in common? This performance looks at the many parallels
they share. Through a stylized presentation of compiled historical media
elements, three separate narratives are woven together. At its core, the
piece examines predatory behavior and the reverberations of violence and
warfare.
